Introduction of LSG:

As a former subsidiary of Dairy Farm Limited, LSG Catering China Limited was later owned by LSG Lufthansa Service GmbH with LSG’s takeover of Dairy Farm Aircraft Catering and General Catering in 1990. Since then, LSG Catering China Limited has become a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of LSG Sky Chefs.

LSG Sky Chefs is the world’s largest provider of in-flight services. These include catering, in-flight equipment and logistics, in-flight retail as well as the management of onboard service and related airport services. LSG Sky Chefs partners with more than 300 airlines worldwide and operates some 200 customer service centers in 50 countries, producing around 460 million airline meals a year. In 2010, the companies belonging to LSG Sky Chefs Group achieved consolidated revenues of € 2.2 billion.

LSG provides a wide array of professional catering services to meet the client’s
increasingly diversified needs. These range from the management consultancy of staff restaurants and clubs to providing tailor-made school meals on an individual basis; from organizing open-air parties to sumptuous VIP banquets.

The international in-flight services provider also received an honorary mention
award (“Best Start-up Program”) for its Lean Enterprise program. LSG Sky Chefs launched the Lean & Operational Excellence program in January 2008 as part of its continuous improvement process. The objective of the program was to transform the business in order to maintain the company’s position as the industry leader in service delivery and quality. It also aimed to strengthen process efficiency and employee motivation.
