Digital Revolution Series – Digital Transformation (Module 1)

Introduction

On 29 December 2017, SCMP published an article “Why companies shouldn’t rush their digital transformation”. While Microsoft released a survey report in 2017 that “66% of business leaders in Hong Kong believe they need to be a digital business to succeed yet only 22% have a full digital transformation strategy.” Why?

This 3-hour seminar introduces participants a basic understanding of digital transformation for organizations in order to cope with and cater for the coming Industry 4.0 and China 2025 as well as the ever-changing customer expectations in the digital economy. This seminar will briefly highlight the basic concepts, examples and toolset to becoming a Digital Organization. Examples will be used as reference such as: New World Development Co. Ltd (The Golden Globe Tigers Award 2017), MTR Corporation Ltd (Digital Transformer of the Year -IDC Digital Transformation Awards 2017) and GE Aviation.

Short Courses Organized by HKQMA and the MTR Academy

We would like to introduce you the coming two short courses jointly organized by HKQMA and the MTR Academy in this summer, being supported by SSI. The first program is “Construction Management for Site Supervision” (3 Modules) delivered by HKQMA Chairman, Dr. Frankie Lam. The next program is “Managing for Service Quality” (2 Modules) delivered by Dr Victor Leung, Director (Academic) of HKQMA. These 2 programs are designed and delivered by the experienced teachers in the quality field. Each module in the program is designed to be an independent unit but members are advised to take both modules in order to achieve the knowledge integration. Enrollment can be made for each module.
