With the vision to promote the theory and practices of management in quality excellence in the Greater China., Hong Kong Quality Management Association is going to organize a study mission for its members to benchmark the renowned companies in China.

Objective

The objectives of the trip are:

1. To enable the participants to learn the quality management system applied in China

2. How specific company apply the six sigma and lean management to arise their competitive edges

HKQMA planned to visit the below companies in Qingtao:

Haier Electronics Group Co. Ltd

Haier Electronics Group Co., Ltd. Founded in 1984, Haier Group is headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong Province, the PRC and is today one of the world’s leading white goods home appliance manufacturers. The products of Haier Group are now sold in over 100 countries. Haier was ranked first in Fortune Magazine’s “China’s Most Admired Companies”.

Tsingtao Brewery Co. Ltd

Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd., one of the oldest beer producers in China, was founded in 1903 by German and British merchants under the name Nordic Brewery Co., Ltd. Tsingtao Branch. Tsingtao Brewery is the top Chinese beer company among the world’s top 500 brands.

Qingdao Cigarette Factory

The early 90s of last century, Qingdao Cigarette Factory historic brand, “Hartmann,” “Tarzan,” “One pen”, “red tin package”, “old knife”, “HUANG Xi-package”, “red gold” and other old No. successful comeback for the rapid development of enterprises laid a solid foundation. After “75”, “85”, “95,” three large-scale technical transformation, the Qingdao Cigarette Factory equipment, technology, process conditions in the national tobacco industry reached a high level of development.

Programme

Fee

The per person study mission fee is HK$6,700 and HK$7,000 for HKQMA member and Non-HKQMA members respectively. The fee includes:

1. Air ticket to/from HK / Qingtao

2. Hotel accommodation are on twin-sharing (single-room supplement : HK$1,290)

3. All meals during the trip

4. Transportation in Qingtao

5. Souvenirs for visiting organizations

Deadline for Application

Attend the Quality Visit – on or before 2 February 2012

General Information

There will be no refund for any withdrawal after acceptance, but replacement will be considered on individual basis. However, the organizers reserve the right to modify, cancel or postpone the study mission due to any uncontrollable situations. In any of these circumstances, applicants will be notified and full mission fee will be refunded if the application is not successful.

Language

As the medium of communication will be in Putonghua, it is essential that participants could speak and comprehend Putonghua reasonably well in order to benefit from the convention.

Participants should possess a valid Home Going Certificate or visa.
